Oliver Huwyler is a postdoctoral researcher in the DEPART project since September 2021. He was a visiting scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from August 2019 until February 2021. His research explores questions related to politicians’ behaviour, political careers as well as interest representation and lobbying, with a methodological emphasis on quantitative approaches and large-N data.

In January 2022, Oliver Huwyler completed his doctorate at the University of Basel on formal collaboration between parliamentarians and interest groups. He earned his M.A. in Comparative and International Studies from ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich in 2016, and his B.A. in political science and history from the University of Lucerne in 2014.
