I am a doctoral candidate in the Social Sciences at the University of Vienna. Since October 2017, I am a DOC-Fellow of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) and pre-doc researcher with the project “Party Congresses in Austria” at the Department of Government.

I studied political science at the University of Vienna and obtained my Master’s Degree in 2015. Starting from 2010, I worked as a research assistant for the Austrian National Election Study (AUTNES, Supply Side). After 2015, I worked as a pre-doc researcher for AUTNES.

In my dissertation project, I study various aspects of intra-party politics. In particular, my research aims to contribute new insights on the formation of intra-party preferences, factionalism as well as on the development of intra-party decision-making and intra-party democracy.

Research interests: comparative politics, party competition, party organizations, intra-party politics, intra-party democracy, quantitative text analysis
