Marvin Stecker works as a Prae-Doc in the AUTHLIB project at the Department for Government. He is a PhD student at the Computational Communication Lab at the University of Vienna and previously worked as the project manager of the OPTED project, focusing in the text analysis infrastructures. 

His research uses a variety of computational methods to study political communication with a particular focus in the meaning and salience of collective identities, as well as methodological questions. He studied Communication Science and Sociology at the universities of Münster and Salzburg. During that time, he was also a student assistant for the PropStop-project on automated propaganda.
