Manuel Wagner is a pre-doctoral researcher in the DEPART project since September 2021. He earned a B.A. in Political Science (2018) and a B.Sc. in International Economics (2019) from the University of Tübingen and a research M.Sc. in Social Sciences (2021) from the University of Amsterdam. In his PhD project, Manuel studies how (changes in) the biographies of ministers affect their political decisions and government’s responsiveness to society as a whole as well as different groups of voters. More generally, he is interested in political representation, the interplay between economic and political inequality, and the politics of redistribution.
