I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Government. Previously, I worked as a junior lecturer at the Department of Political Science at the University of Amsterdam. My research interests revolve around the dynamics of permanent campaigning in European multi-party systems, with a particular focus on how political parties use the parliamentary arena for strategic messaging. I examine how speeches, roll-call votes, and legislative instruments serve not only as tools for policymaking but also as instruments of electoral competition.
