Reto Bürgisser is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Government at the University of Vienna. Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zürich and the University of Bern. He holds a Ph.D. from the European University Institute (EUI).

His research is situated at the intersection of political economy, comparative politics, and political behavior.
